Shiv-Shakti is the concept of Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti. Shiva is often portrayed as the supreme deity, and he is also the destroyer and transformer of the universe while Shakti is the feminine principle, representing divine energy and power. Shiva is associated with qualities such as stillness, serenity, and liberation, Shakti is the Divine Mother, the source of energy and power, she is often depicted as a goddess, such as Parvati, Durga, Kali, or Devi, depending on the specific form and attributes associated with her. Devotees of Shiv Shakti seek to balance these energies within themselves, recognizing the importance of both inner stillness and dynamic action in their spiritual practice and daily lives. Shiv-Shakti as Ardhanarishvara. Ardhanarishvara is derived from two Sanskrit words:- "ardha," meaning half, "nari," meaning woman, and "ishvara," meaning lord or god.
